Sabrina Horak
Sabrina Horak, born in 1983 in Mödling, Austria, is an artist based in Tokyo, Japan. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the Tokyo University of Art and Design. Horak received the Mext Scholarship for Figurative Painting and completed her doctoral studies in Oil Painting at the Tokyo University of the Arts. Her works have been exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions such as "I'm climbing a mountain and I'm never looking back" (2022) at SYP Gallery, Tokyo. She was awarded the I AM Grant in 2021 and the Kinutani Kouji Award for Figurative Painting in 2017. Horak's works have been part of the collection of the Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture for the Artothek in Austria since 2008.
