Marie Egner (1850 - 1940) was an Austrian painter. She was next to Tina Blau, Olga Wisinger-Florian and Broncia Koller the most important artist of Austria around 1900. As a student of Emil Jakob Schindler she is assigned to the Austrian mood impressionism. Thematically, Marie Egner mostly dealt with landscape painting in oil and watercolor as well as flower pieces. Her motifs were created in front of nature in plein-air painting.
